UPU Opens to Private Sector

Private sector postal stakeholders will in the future
be able to participate in meetings of the Universal Postal Union’s (UPU)
main bodies. This was made possible after the UPU’s Council of

Story Filed: Thursday, October 25, 2001 6:59 AM EST

Oct 25, 2001 (NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT via COMTEX) — Sweden will not increase the postage fees at the start of next year.

If this had been approved, the cost of sending a so-called A-letter, which can weigh up to 20 grammes and is to be delivered the following day, would have been increased by SEK0.5, reported TT, a Swedish news agency.
