Post Danmark sees read rate increase

Post Danmark has increased its parcel read rate by 25%. The enhancement comes on the back of the deployment a Prime Vision’s project to upgrade existing OCR and ICR software installed at the post’s Brøndby parcel sorting hub outside Copenhagen.

“The implementation has been flawless and system performance was high from day one,” said Nadim Jakob Manori, chief for Pakker ØST and VEST at Post Danmark.

The revised system factors in every detail on the address label, including the house number and street name, to sort the parcel to the level of determining the ultimate parcel van route.

This project followed hot on the heels of a similar assignment for Post Danmark’s flats where Prime Vision had implemented a system that reduced the need for video coding by more than 50%.
