Chief finance officer Gro Bakstad, 46, is to become executive director of the company’s Mail Division, leading operations including letter and small package delivery as well as Norway Post’s retail network.

Tone Wille, 49, who is currently director of finance and corporate governance in the Mail Division, is to become group CFO.

The current executive director of the Mail Division, Tore K Nilsen, is taking the equivalent position in Norway Post’s Logistics Division, succeeding Arne Bjørn Dahl, who has served as head of logistics for 10 years but now is seeking other tasks in the group after reaching the age of 60.

Norway Post’s Logistics Division, which includes its parcels and freight operations, is a key growth driver for the company as a whole, and now represents more than half of total group revenues.

Norway Post said it is now working hard to develop the new leadership within its Divisions.

Dag Mejdell, the Norway Post CEO, said: “I am very pleased to have found talented internal candidates. It is a strength for the group that we can have internal transitions between divisions and between staff and divisions. The new team consists of both continuity and renewal.

The rest of the senior management team at Norway Post includes Mejdell as well as corporate communications director Elizabeth Gjølme, executive director for human resources Randi J Løvland and head of logistics solutions Paul R Amundsen.

Yesterday Post&Parcel reported that Norway Post is set to have a new chairman in the form of Storebrand CEO and Financial Services Union MD Idar Kreutzer, as well as a new board member in the form of former government energy minister Sigrid Hjørnegård.
