Amazon India launches morning delivery service

Amazon.in has claimed that it has become the first e-commerce player in India to launch morning deliveries. Customers can buy from products from the Amazon.in website up until midnight and get them delivered by 11:00 am the next morning.

The company announced the launch of its Morning Delivery service across 4 metros – Mumbai, Delhi /NCR, Bengaluru and Hyderabad –  on 13 October.

The service is applicable on products Fulfilled by Amazon.

In its official statement about the new service, Akshay Sahi, Head Customer Experience, Amazon India, said: “In the past, we have pioneered Same-Day, One-Day, Two-Day, Release Day and Sunday delivery in India in response to specific customer needs to make their shopping experience more enjoyable. We receive high traffic during afternoon or in the evening post office hours. Earlier these customers had to wait till next evening to receive their orders with One-Day delivery. With Amazon.in’s Morning Delivery service, our customers are now assured of delivery between 8am to 11am the next morning across lakhs of products.

The Morning Delivery service has a flat charge of INR 120 per order, regardless of the number of items ordered. Currently, this service is available for residential deliveries. Amazon also provides a Same-day delivery option, where customers can place their order by 11 am and get it delivered the same evening.
