Whistl joins Global Parcel Alliance

Whistl has become the first UK member of the Global Parcel Alliance (GPA) which has been launched at a ceremony in China. The GPA, which has been two years in development, is led by Chinese Courier YTO Express and includes 50 courier and parcel members from 25 countries. The aim the Alliance is to provide an international package service network covering the major global markets.

YTO chairman Yu Weijiao, said of the GPA: “A major goal of the alliance would be to standardise processes for the growing volume of cross-border deliveries.”

Nick Wells, CEO said: “Our membership of the GPA underlines our commitment to building our presence in the global post and parcel market.  Being the first UK member of the group also highlights our commitment to provide our customers with the latest, most efficient, ways to trade internationally.”
