New CEO for Posti

The Board of Directors of Posti Group Corporation has appointed Turkka Kuusisto, as President and CEO of Posti Group Corporation.

Kuusisto has acted as Posti’s Interim President and CEO since October 1, 2019 and has served as a member of the Group’s Leadership Team since 2016. He held the position of SVP, Postal Services in 2016–2018 and has acted as SVP, Parcel and eCommerce since 2019.

Prior to joining Posti, Kuusisto was the Regional Managing Director in Europe at the bill invoice and debt collection company Lindorff Group AB as well as the Managing Director of Lindorff in Finland and the company’s Head of business operations in Russia and the Baltics.

According to Chairman of the Board of Directors, Markku Pohjola, there were several strong candidates in the final stages of the CEO recruitment process. Kuusisto’s leadership skills as well as his experience and strong track record in digital services business and postal industry weighed in his favour. “I have been following Turkka Kuusisto both in his role as the head of the Parcel and eCommerce business group and as Posti’s Interim President and CEO. Kuusisto has demonstrated exemplary leadership, assertiveness, and humanity during a quite challenging autumn. Similarly, he has led the businesses under his responsibility very successfully in a rapidly changing operating environment,” says Markku Pohjola.

Turkka Kuusisto: Posti seeks growth in Parcel and e-commerce as well as logistics services: “Posti’s operating environment is undergoing an unprecedented transformation, and I take my appointment as Posti’s President and CEO as a great sign of confidence. As President and CEO, I will continue to renew the company together with all Posti employees and will do my part in ensuring that Posti will be able to operate sustainably also in the long term.

With these renewals, we also aim to ensure the competitiveness of traditional postal services for as long as possible.” Kuusisto continues.
