Amtrak secures Empire deal
Amtrak Express Parcels has secured a contract to become the sole overnight carrier for electrical goods retailer EmpireDirect.co.uk delivering up to 25,000 parcesl a month on next-day home delivery.
Amtrak collects goods from Empires 13,00 sqm warhouse in Bradford for night-time sorting at its West Midlands ub. Andrew Maher, GM of Empire Direct group logistics says: We are in a very competitive market where margins are continually being squeezed. With Amtrak we have been able to both improve our delivery services and save costs, which puts us in a strong position to continue our growth.
