Express Delivery Service Connects With Europe

TOOLES Transport, based in Droitwich, has launched a new express delivery service for small consignments of goods to mainland Europe.

As a member of the Palletways distribution network, which has more than 100 depots in the UK, the company will now be able to distribute small consignments more cost effectively and faster than before to a vast European marketplace, inclu-ding Belgium, The Nether-lands, Luxemborg, Denmark, France and Germany.

This development has been made possible by Palletways fully integrating its UK network with the company’s operations in mainland Europe by linking up the IT systems across all the countries it serves.

“All the Palletways networks in the UK and mainland Europe have been using the same IT systems,” explained Judith Toole of Tooles Transport. “But now they have been connected so they talk to each other across borders.

“This means we can provide suppliers and manufacturers with unrivalled express distribution across the channel to mainland Europe, allowing them to access new markets and grow their businesses.

“Our customers will also be able to track and trace any consignment delivered across the European regions covered by our operations. It will also provide us with a significant new business opportunity as it greatly widens our distribution reach.”

Palletways is aiming to create the first pan-European pallet network operation within the next three years. The company is already developing its next network to cover Spain and Portugal, which will go live later this year.

These developments will open up additional opportunities for Tooles Transport.
