Eurora and SkyNet partnership unlocks “value for e-commerce retailers”

Eurora Solutions (Eurora), the AI/ML (artificial intelligence/machine learning) backed cross-border trade compliance platform, launches a partnership with SkyNet Worldwide Express (SkyNet), the world’s largest independently owned courier company.

The partnership enables SkyNet to offer e-commerce retailers a streamlined solution for customs and import regulations, making cross-border trade simpler and more efficient.

As part of an initial rollout, SkyNet will offer Eurora’s automated product classification (HS) code* allocation and Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) solutions in the United Kingdom, with plans to expand globally across all 26 territories, where SkyNet operates in the future. The IOSS service automates VAT registration and reporting when shipping goods to the European Union (EU), while Eurora‘s AI engine streamlines HS code allocation. With over 5,000 HS codes, accurate allocation is essential to avoid incorrect duties and taxes as well as potential fines from authorities.

“SkyNet has always been at the forefront of innovation, offering tailor-made services to our B2B and B2C customers with the help of smart technology. Our partnership with Eurora is a natural fit as it enables our clients to streamline complex customs and import regulations by leveraging the power of AI and machine learning and unlocks new growth opportunities for e-commerce retailers around the world,’ said Tommy Erasmus, CEO of SkyNet.

Paul Scratchley, Commercial Director of Eurora, added: “Eurora’s AI/ML platform provides the highest level of accuracy, speed, and automation available on the market. By combining our solutions with SkyNet’s established global network, we are unlocking value for e-commerce retailers and simplifying the process of importing goods to the UK and the EU.”

SkyNet provides international B2B and B2C delivery to over 156 countries worldwide, leveraging smart technology to support e-commerce retailers in achieving cross-border growth. Based in the UK, SkyNet has 26 branches globally and is one of the leading international carriers.

Eurora leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to streamline cross-border VAT, duty amounts, and declaration management. The company’s proprietary AI/ML platform boasts a processing capacity of up to 5,000 requests per second with 98% accuracy*, making it the most efficient and accurate solution in the market. Developed by leading scientists since 2019, when Eurora‘s platform received a research grant from the European Archimedes Fund, over 250 clients use Eurora’s platform to handle millions of parcels daily. With over 220 employees across 18 countries, Eurora is dedicated to providing its clients with seamless cross-border trade compliance.
