New Appointments at DX Freight: “a sign of the successful growth we have achieved at the division”

DX has announced a number of senior management appointments at its DX Freight division, following Paul Ibbetson’s promotion to Chief Executive Officer of the Group.  These appointments take immediate effect.

The role of Managing Director of DX Freight has been divided to create two new heads of its business units, 1-Man and Logistics/2-Man. The decision to create these new roles reflects the significant growth of the division over recent years and the expansion opportunities ahead for both 1-Man and Logistics/2-Man.

Graham Hollingdrake, previously DX Freight Operations Director (pictured left), has been appointed as Managing Director of 1-Man, which provides tracked, next-day delivery services primarily to businesses addresses and is one of only a small number of carriers able to provide next-day deliveries of large and irregularly shaped items (the “IDW” market). Since joining DX in 2021, Graham has been instrumental in delivering the highest service levels in the division’s history and driving improved standards throughout the network, a key factor behind its continued success.

Ian Bolton, previously Director of Logistics (pictured right), has been appointed as Managing Director of Logistics/2-Man, which provides delivery services for larger consumer goods and specialist logistics services. Ian has worked for DX since 2013, and has been a key figure in the development of the Logistics/2-Man division, including the recent establishment of five dedicated 2-Man supersites.

The current Director of Network Development, Stuart Dawson, becomes Operations Director for 1-Man. Stuart has been integral in improving operational systems and processes throughout the 1-Man network and will provide solid continuity, whilst driving service levels and standards.

Phil Scorer has been promoted to Operations Director of Logistics/2-Man and Elaine Phillips steps up to the role of Sales Director of Logistics/2-Man, after a very successful period as a Regional Sales Manager within 1-Man.

Darren Bell has been promoted to the role of Group Fleet and Compliance Director. Since joining DX in 2018, Darren has been responsible for transforming the DX fleet. DX now has one of the youngest fleets in the industry and uses market-leading technology to measure performance. In Compliance, he has built a team that will ensure high vehicle and driving standards are maintained. Darren is leading future initiatives, including the further deployment of EV vehicles across the network.

Paul Ibbetson, Chief Executive of DX (Group) plc, commented: “The creation of two new Managing Directors at DX Freight is a sign of both the successful growth we have achieved at the division in recent years and of our confidence in the ongoing prospects for 1-Man and Logistics/2-Man. All these appointments reflect the depth of talent in the team and are well-deserved. I look forward to working with everyone as we continue to build revenue and profitability for the Group.”
