DPD Polska and SwipBox have rolled out more than 5,000 Infinity parcel lockers

DPD Polska is expanding its cooperation with SwipBox. More than 5,000 standalone and touchless Infinity parcel lockers are now available to customers. They are part of the DPD Pickup network, which now has more than 25,000 points.

The SwipBox Infinity parcel lockers are very easy to set up and can be installed in less than 10 minutes. The parcel lockers do not require a wired power connection, as they are powered by a specially designed built-in battery. In addition, the parcel lockers are environmentally friendly and can be operated via the DPD Mobile app solution that offers real-time tracking and convenient pickup and drop-off features for the end user. The solution facilitates the rapid scaling of a network of parcel lockers due to its flexibility and intuitive user interface.

“For our customers, we are creating the most accessible network for sending and receiving parcels in Poland, DPD Pickup, which is entering another intensive stage of development. Our parcel machines meet the expectations of customers who value comfort and convenience in sending and returning parcels. We select locations selectively and in accordance with local customer needs in order to build a dense network of parcel machines, because we believe in the slogan “closer is better”. With the DPD Mobile app, you can conveniently send and receive parcels from the machine, but not only. This is because DPD Mobile offers practical features such as the ability to track, send and manage your parcel in real time. If your plans change, your parcel can be redirected to the nearest convenient collection point and collected the same day” – said Łukasz Zembowicz, Member of the Management Board, Director of Sales and Marketing at DPD Poland.

“The development of the Infinity network in Poland, thanks to the successful cooperation with such an established brand as DPD Polska, is a particular source of pride for us. Our partnership enhances the comfort and convenience of end users. The entire e-commerce market also benefits through additional shipping options. DPD Polska has always been committed to new technologies and innovative solutions. Together, we are taking a huge step forward by successfully implementing the Infinity technology. The densely distributed network of parcel lockers is able to accommodate the parcel load in a given location,” added Michał Czechowski, Managing Director of SwipBox Poland.

The Infinity technology also allows the installation of temporary lockers in highly seasonal locations – by the sea or in the mountains. In the off-season, much lower capacity is needed in such locations. Everything is done at a very low cost, which is not possible with standard technology, which requires a large space, electricity and internet connection and expensive ground preparation.

SwipBox is focused on creating the world’s best user experience for delivering and picking up parcels using parcel lockers. Through a combination of intuitive network management software and hassle-free, app-operated parcel lockers, SwipBox delivers maximum convenience to logistics providers, retailers and end users alike.

The company is headquartered in Denmark and has additional offices in Pakistan, Poland and Australia. Together with partners, SwipBox always strives to optimise their solutions to reduce the carbon footprint in the first and last mile area.
