Poczta Polska: Investing in a modern fleet of cash vans is the foundation of safe and efficient cash logistics

Poczta Polska  has launched an investment program that aims to expand its fleet of cash-in-transit vehicles by a total of 375 by the end of 2027. The first step is the purchase of 45 modern Type B cash-in-transit vehicles.

” Investing in a modern fleet of cash vans is the foundation of safe and efficient cash logistics. We are not only increasing our operational capabilities, but above all, delivering solutions that the market and our institutional clients expect. It also represents a real improvement in the standards and safety of our convoy teams, ” says Sławomir Żurawski, Acting President of the Management Board of Poczta Polska.

The new vehicles are part of a long-term strategy for the development of logistics services and a response to the continuing importance of cash in economic transactions. The investment is operational in nature and is aimed at increasing the efficiency and security of services provided. The Type B cash vans, which are currently being added to the fleet, feature a high level of security and increased cargo space. This allows for the transport of more ATM cassettes in a single trip, resulting in fewer trips, improved route planning, and increased efficiency for convoy teams.

The investment program also includes the purchase of type A and C armored vehicles, each with different levels of security and intended use. Type A vehicles, with the highest level of protection, will be used for transporting the highest value items. Type C armored vehicles are lighter units, adapted to transport cash in specialized containers with security systems, and are used on both short and long routes. According to the schedule, Poczta Polska plans to receive another 35 type B armored vehicles by the end of 2026, followed by 125 vehicles of this type in tranches by the end of 2027. In parallel, procurement procedures for type A and C armored vehicles are underway. The company expects that contracts for their delivery will be signed in the coming months, and the first type C vehicles will be delivered to the fleet in 2026.

The investment includes not only increasing operational capacity but also improving working conditions for convoy crews. The new vehicles offer larger workspace, improved ergonomics, and modern safety features.

The implementation of the fleet modernization program is intended to strengthen Poczta Polska’s position as one of the key operators in the cash logistics segment and ensure stable and scalable service for institutional clients in the coming years.
