Latvian Post Turns a Parcel Locker Into a Work of Art
The first parcel locker in Latvia featuring graffiti art has been unveiled. The design was created by internationally renowned street artist Kiwie, who has brought his distinctive characters and aesthetics to logistics infrastructure.
For the first time in the “Latvijas Pasts” VAS parcel locker network, the special design has been painted directly onto a professionally prepared locker surface, rather than applied using a printed wrap.
“I have been nudging Pasts for a while with the idea of turning one of its parcel lockers into a work of art. To me, all those locker doors always looked like mouths being fed parcels every day. That’s how the idea of Kiwie monsters squeezing together across the locker, waiting for their next snack, came about. Some are really pleased because they’ve just eaten, while others are a little more irritated – still waiting for their turn,” explains street artist Kiwie, sharing his idea behind the design.
The aim of the Latvijas Pasts initiative is to turn regular logistics infrastructure into an urban art object, drawing attention beyond its practical function. The parcel locker continues to serve its everyday purpose, allowing people to conveniently send and receive their parcels.
This special design parcel locker is a continuation of Pasts’ collaboration with Kiwie, which started in spring 2026 with stamp blocks dedicated to Latvian Olympians and a Ukrainian skeleton athlete.
Pasts operates the country’s largest parcel locker network. Since 2024, the visual identity of its parcel lockers has featured several works of art, including a tribute in the capital to the Academy Award winning animated feature film Flow and its creators. It displays an iconic scene from the film, in which its main character – the cat – stands at the bow of a boat as it makes its way through a flooded city.
