E-TAILERS AND CARRIERS MUST work in unison to provide a more consumer-oriented service if perceptions concerning the reliability of online shopping are to be changed, says Kay Phillips, chief executive of Parceline.

Phillips says: ‘There seems little point to festive on-line ordering if fulfilment takes several days and only benefits people who are always at home.’ Parceline has devised a home-delivery scheme which provides delivery options at the point of ordering on the web.

Parcelinedirect.com enables consumers to select a time window of morning, afternoon, evening or weekend, whichever is the most convenient.
