D.Logistics AG acquires majority shareholdings in three logistics companies

ADHOC 05.06.2000 D.Logistics AG acquires majority shareholdings in three logistics companies and expands European-wide Ralf Jahncke, TransCare’s managing director, to be appointed to D.Logistics AG’s management board

D.Logistics AG (SIN: 510150), Hofheim, Germany, has signed binding preliminary agreements to acquire majority shareholdings in TransCare umweltverträgliche Verkehrskonzepte GmbH, Wiesbaden, Germany, E-Consult Betriebsberatungsgesellschaft m.b.H, Vienna, Austria, and PickPoint AG, Darmstadt, Germany. All three acquisitions represent ideal additions to D.Logistics’ lines of services and international presence.

D.Logistics AG is also acquiring a 60-% shareholding in PickPoint AG, Darmstadt, Germany, a company specializing in logistics solutions for the B2C-field. For example, in the future, in addition to home deliveries, e-commerce end users will be offered the option of picking up their electronically ordered items at logistics transfer points (“pickup points”), even outside normal store-opening hours. An international rollout of this logistics concept is planned for sometime within the next twelve months.

These acquisitions will allow D.Logistics AG to address totally new international markets in the fields of consulting services and e-commerce, in parallel with its pursuit of its traditional business, the implementation, operation, and optimization of IT-solutions and logistics solutions.
