TPG, Greek post office in ‘advanced discussions’ on venture

AMSTERDAM (AFX) – TNT Post Group NV is in “advanced discussions” for a
joint venture with the Greek post office Elta, said TPG spokeswoman Debbie de
Wagenaar.

She declined to comment on whether this includes taking an equity stake in
the postal company or its courier subsidiary.

The Greek government has put a 25 pct stake in the company up for sale,
with the sale of a 50 pct stake in the courier unit Tachymetafores also under
consideration.
