Frans Maas strengthens position in Belgium through acquisition of Ghemar

Koninklijke Frans Maas Groep N.V. (International Freight Forwarding and Logistics) has reached agreement with Almabo N.V., the major shareholder in Compagnie Maritime Belge N.V., on the acquisition of Ghemar N.V. of Eupen, Belgium.

Ghemar is engaged in international freight forwarding and automotive logistics. It has a turnover of approximately EUR 15 million and more than 100 employees.

For Frans Maas, the acquisition will significantly strengthen both its international freight forwarding and automotive logistics operations, particularly between Germany and Belgium.

Frans Maas’ European network comprises 159 locations in 24 countries.
