FedEx Trade Networks expands operations

FedEx Trade Networks is opening new offices in Asia and Latin America to expand its international freight forwarding capability. The new Asia offices are in Singapore, Taiwan, and in Qingdao, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, China. In Latin America, the company opened an air and ocean forwarding office in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

FedEx Trade Networks has additional plans to expand its global freight forwarding operation throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. These new offices support those plans.

“Global trade trends continue to point toward a demand for both air and ocean freight forwarding services,” said G. Edmond Clark, FedEx Trade Networks president and CEO, in a statement.

FedEx Trade Networks provides international third-party shipping services including customs brokerage, global cargo distribution and trade facilitation solutions. Founded in 2000, it now has more than 330 locations worldwide including its flagship Asia air freight forwarding operations opened in 2008 in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
