Nightfreight sees business boom

UK company Nightfreight has seen an increase in inquiries of more than 150% as a Royal Mail strike looms. Inquiries from existing and potential clients relate to its pre 9.30am next day delivery service for small items. As a result the company is doubling its resources for this service with all depots on standby to ensure that last minute calls for help can be answered.

Robbie Burns, chairman at Nightfreight, said: “SME’s are extremely worried that their livelihoods are being threatened by this strike. They have already faced a tough time over the past months and for many they fear it will be the final straw.

“As a result enquiries and volumes are up significantly for our nightpak and docupak services which guarantee delivery pre 9.30am (including Saturdays). Unlike the Royal Mail our national network is running every day (except Sundays) and in many cases it will be ‘Nightfreight to the rescue’ as we try to help as many businesses as possible.”
