Nightfreight awarded Bosal UK deal

UK-based Nightfreight has been awarded a two-year contract with exhaust system and towbar manufacturer Bosal UK. The seven figure contract will see Nightfreight managing all outbound delivery of Bosal’s full product range including exhaust systems, catalytic converters and steel tubing from its Preston site to its aftermarket customers UK wide.

Nightfreight will provide a nationwide six-day, next day delivery service, as part of its national ‘shared user’ network of 53 depots. This replaces a previous multiple contractor and dedicated fleet operation.

Nightfreight expects to deliver over 12,000 products per week direct to the automotive and tubular steel markets as part of the new partnership.

Peter Hayden, sales and marketing director of Bosal UK, said: “We were very impressed with the way Nightfreight understood our business and customer base from day one during a very competitive tender.

“Nightfreight is very proactive in the mix and match delivery channels they offer, which really suits our ever changing and growing business requirements.

“We operate in a very demanding environment and it is essential for us to have a logistics partner which has the flexibility to adapt to the daily needs of our customer base.

“By joining in partnership with Nightfreight, we’re looking to develop a long-term relationship which we’re confident will grow over the period of time.”

Ian Smith, chief executive officer of Nightfreight, said: “We are proud to count a global player like Bosal among our customer portfolio and have once again impressed with our on-going commitment to quality of service. More than this, we have demonstrated how Nightfreight can support customer growth and introduce bottom line cost savings.

“We’re confident we’ll be able to add real value to their logistics operation and we look forward to a long and successful partnership where we support Bosal’s growth in the UK marketplace.”
