Kuehne + Nagel opens new hub in Denmark

Kuehne + Nagel has opened a new facility in Esbjerg, Denmark, strengthening its presence in the Danish market and particularly in the oil and gas sector. As the largest North Sea port in Western Denmark, Esbjerg is a strategic location for the many supply vessels serving oil rigs in the area.

The city also boasts two airports and excellent links to the Danish road network.

In addition to offering air, sea and road logistics services, the new facility will provide supply chain management, project logistics and rig & maritime support as part of the Kuehne + Nagel Oil & Gas specialist range of products.

The company said this makes Esbjerg a new key location in Kuehne + Nagel’s Oil & Gas network in the North Sea, which already includes locations at Bergen, Stavanger, Florø and Kristiansund in Norway, Aberdeen in the UK, and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Jesper Christensen, national manager of Kuehne + Nagel Denmark, said: “I am confident that our presence in Esbjerg will contribute to the strategic growth of Kuehne + Nagel’s Oil & Gas logistics operations, as well as offering many opportunities to further develop our business in Denmark.”
