Greece to Immediately Float 20-25% of ELTA

Greece said on Thursday that it will float between 20 to 25 percent of Hellenic Post (ELTA) on the Athens bourse within 2002. ‘We have decided to immediately start the procedures concerning the listing of 20 to 25 percent on the Athens bourse within 2002,’ the finance ministry said in a statement. It also said that it extended the time period for the submission of binding bids for a 10 percent stake in ELTA to a strategic investor by one week to March 15. In January, Greece said it had invited Germany’s Deutsche Post Holland’s TPG and France’s La Poste to submit binding offers for ELTA.
