Arrow XL appoint new managers

Arrow XL, the UK two-man delivery specialist, has announced two senior appointments as part of the business’s strategic growth plans. Bryan Towse has been appointed as General Manager of Arrow XL’s main hub in Wigan, and will be responsible for managing relationships with key clients and suppliers to drive growth across the organisation. He will report directly into Dave Graham, Operations Director at Arrow XL’s hub in Wigan.

Bryan will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer and client service levels, ensuring the highest standard of health and safety on-site, and will be responsible for people management and development.

Bryan brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Arrow XL, having spent the last nine years with DHL where he held the position of Regional General Manager (Northern Region) within the 2-man home delivery division. He has also held several managerial positions within the operations field.

Commenting on his appointment, Bryan said: “I am thrilled to be joining the business at such an exciting time and I’m really looking forward to the variety of challenges that working at Arrow XL will provide. I hope that I can use my previous relationships with clients and 3rdparty customers within the industry in order to further strengthen the focus and performance of the business.”

John Webb has also joined Arrow XL, having been appointed as a Final Mile Manager, focusing on out-base support development and subcontractor development. He will be crucial in supporting the final mile of a customer’s delivery, reporting into Final Mile Director, Guy Burgess.

John joined Arrow XL from DX where he held the role of National Operations and Training Manager for over 10 years. Prior to this, he worked for United Carriers for over 20 years.

Commenting on his appointment, John said: “I was attracted to Arrow XL as I was looking for a new challenge within a fast-paced, dynamic company. What singled out Arrow XL was its customer centric ethos, which places the customer at the heart of everything they do.”

Speaking of Bryan and John’s appointment, Ian Howell, Chief Executive Officer at Arrow XL, commented: “It is a great pleasure to welcome both Bryan and John to the team. With major plans for 2015, we are confident that their depth of knowledge and experience spanning many areas of the industry, will help us grow.”
