PHLPost announces launch of improved express products and services
The Philippine Postal Corporation has announced that it is set to launch a programme of improved express products and services. In a statement timed to coincide with PHLPost’s 23rd Corporate Anniversary celebration on 6th April at the Manila Central Post Office, Postmaster General Josefina Dela Cruz said that PHLPost “is ready to expand its express services given the corporation’s vast operational network, familiarity in the delivery beats, and the long-standing track record in the courier industry”.
The company statement added: “PHLPost now pushes for express domestic delivery of mails and parcels, ensuring next day delivery in identified committed areas all over the country. This improved service comes with a domestic mail tracking system and an SMS notification, both features are programmed to provide delivery status updates.
“For international destinations, PHLPost is banking on its membership with the Universal Postal Union and the presence of bilateral agreement with 45 countries for the reciprocal exchange of EMS (Express Mail Service) items.
“Aside from its core business of mails and parcels delivery, the state postal firm has also ventured into money transfer service, migrating from paper-based to electronic postal money order that can be sent and received real-time in nearly 400 post offices nationwide.”
PHLPost will be the Host Sponsor of the World Mail & Express Asia Pacific 2015 event, which Triangle Management Services will be holding in Manila on 19th-21st October.
