DHL announces three-year partnership with MotoGP

DHL has announced a new three-year partnership with the motorcycle racing championship, MotoGP. The partnership will see DHL support the logistics needs of MotoGP and its sister championships, Moto2 and Moto3.

“We are very excited about having the opportunity to get behind the handlebars of the championship’s logistics operation and to offer high quality international shipping services to MotoGP,” said Ken Allen, CEO, DHL Express.

The 2015 MotoGP season features 18 races in 14 countries spanning four continents. Each season, more than 80 bikes and 350 tons of equipment for the teams and the championship organizers need to be transported by sea, air and road across a total distance of approximately 90,000 km within just nine months.

DHL partners with a number of motor racing championships and teams, including Formula 1, Formula E, WTCC, WEC, Andretti Autosport, Audi_ABT and Kalitta Motorsports.
