Drivers Direct launches logistics division

Drivers Direct, a Runcorn-based company specialising in the recruitment and placement of temporary and permanent drivers, has launched a new logistics division. Gethin Roberts, managing director and founder of Drivers Direct, commented: “This is an important step forward for the business as we look to offer our clients an extended offer that not only includes access to qualified drivers but also a complete logistics package that includes people and vehicles.”

Howard Griffiths from Drivers Direct told Post&Parcel today (22 July) that the new logistics division started operating on 29 June and the plan is to offer vehicles “right across the spectrum” – from heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) down to small delivery vans.

DD Logistics customers already include some of the country’s premier hauliers as well as a market-leading retail and parcel delivery company.
