UPS opens new UK contract logistics centre

UPS has officially opened a new contract logistics facility in the UK Midlands, to meet growing demand from retail and high-tech customers. The North Warwickshire facility is close to the company’s existing package sorting hub at Birch Coppice Business Park and provides access to the company’s global network via the UPS hub at East Midlands Airport. The move adds nearly 13,000 m2 of warehousing space to UPS’s global supply chain network.

Commenting on the opening of the new centre, Derek Irving, director, UPS Contract Logistics UK, said: “We continue to expand our contract logistics reach and capabilities in the UK and Europe to serve the growing demands of our business-to-business and business-to-consumer customers.”
