Mitie launches end-to-end parcel tracking system
Facilities management company Mitie has launched a new parcel tracking system called Pinpoint. Mitie’s Total Document Management business has developed the new mobile app, which will allow users to track goods and deliveries from their tablets.
The system includes:
- real time tracking
- email notifications for parcel status updates
- live service-level agreement (SLA) indicators to manage workflow. Particular aspects of the service (scope, quality, responsibilities) are agreed between the service provider and the service user. A common feature of an SLA is a contracted delivery time
- image capture to record any damage at source
- built-in near field communication (NFC) functionality for more accurate proof of receipt via ID card scanning.
