Transportation Insight buys BirdDog Solutions

Third-party logistics (3PL) provider Transportation Insight has bought BirdDog Solutions, a parcel logistics solutions specialist. According to a statement issued yesterday by Transportation Insight: “The parcel logistics technology infrastructure created as a result of the merging of the two companies – “Transportation Insight Parcel Solutions Powered by BirdDog” – gives Transportation Insight clients Tier One solutions across all transportation modes and enables shippers to leverage an optimized supply chain as a competitive advantage.”

BirdDog makes software that helps shippers streamline their parcel deliveries.

Transportation Insight Founder and Chairman Paul Thompson commented: “With the infrastructure we now have in place, we are well-positioned to become the logistics services provider of choice for companies relying on e-commerce as a critical delivery channel.”
