Palletways announces new staff and FORS reaccreditation

Palletways Birmingham has marked its 15th year in business with the addition of new staff and securing an industry accolade. The firm, part of the Palletways European express palletised freight network, has appointed two apprentices to its customer service and traffic teams, bringing its headcount to 60 members of staff.

It has also secured the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) reaccreditation – an industry-led scheme which aims to improve fleet activity throughout the UK.

Garry Curtis, Principal at Palletways Birmingham, said: “The business has grown significantly since our formation in 2000- we started off handling around 73 pallets per month but now move closer to 15,000. To date, we’ve handled more than 1.76 million pallets for Palletways and I’m proud to say that we’ve worked hard over the last 15 years to become one of the largest members in the network.
