Electio appoints carrier partnership manager

Electio, the delivery management platform, has appointed Vickey Eggleston as carrier partnership manager. Eggleston, who has previously worked for both Yodel and Home Delivery Network, most recently spent three years at MetaPack as a carrier manager. Her move is the latest in a number of appointments at the new delivery management brand, including the arrival of Paul Hill, director of client technology, who also left MetaPack to back Electio’s new technology in November 2015.

As partnership manager at Electio, Eggleston will work with existing partners such as Hermes, DPD, Royal Mail, Parcelforce and Yodel, and also forge new relationships  with carriers and 3PLs, helping Electio to widen its carrier portfolio overseas.

David Grimes, CEO of MPD Group said: “We’re delighted to have Vickey join the team. She will play a key role in moving Electio forward in 2016. The industry and its top talent are starting to recognise the potential that Electio possesses to really shake things up for online retailers and this is reflected in the world-class team that we’re building.”

Eggleston said: “Electio is embracing the latest technologies to enable a much faster pace for development. This means retailers can adopt new carrier services and provide more choice to their customers quickly.”

Part of MPD Group, the Electio SaaS platform offers services including click and collect, international or next day delivery, from a range of carriers. This enables retailers of all sizes, as well as third party logistics organisations, to connect directly to those services through a single portal.
