Jigsaw to fill the gap in the transportation market

Jigsaw is the new name in the UK transport industry, redefining national transport solutions by delivering the most competitive rates and unrivalled flexibility at national and regional level.

Forged from an alliance of trusted regional hauliers and proven warehouse, pallet and management resource providers, Jigsaw is set to challenge less flexible competitors in a market which is ready for innovation and cost effectiveness.

Commercial Director of Jigsaw, Paul Smith, says that the Company has been established to fill an emerging gap in the UK transport market.

“Jigsaw combines the service levels associated with traditional road haulage with high levels of management expertise – without all the associated overheads. This provides genuine rate benefits, offers national reach and capitalizes on the strong, established regional presence and know-how of the partner companies,” he said.

The combined operating resources within Jigsaw provide national UK coverage on a scale to rival the largest operators. Collectively, the Company has over 30 operating sites, with more than 1,200 vehicles and a fleet of over 2000 trailers.

In addition, Jigsaw has an exclusive relationship with Palletways for distribution of small loads of up to three pallets. This association gives Jigsaw and its customers access to the largest pallet distribution network in the UK, including a national pallet hub handling over 9000 pallet consignments a day.

“Jigsaw has also concluded a strategic alliance with Great Bear, in order to offer complementary warehousing services for clients who require them.

“With national coverage across the drop size range, Jigsaw can provide total transport solutions without reliance on subcontractors. This feature is highlighted by our core service coverage to all offshore islands, Eire, Northern Ireland and much more of mainland Europe,” said Paul.
