DHL Worldwide launches tracking toolbar for internet explorer
DHL Worldwide announced today the launch of DHL Toolbar, the industry’s first ever Internet Explorer based tracking device, enabling customers to access real-time tracking information with just two clicks from their Internet Explorer toolbar.
DHL Toolbar adds permanent functionality to customers’ existing Internet Explorer, enabling them to access full delivery updates – DHL’s most popular information service – without having to visit the DHL website.
DHL Toolbar is the first in a range of tools to be launched that work with customers’ existing software – such as Internet Explorer. These tools will provide even quicker and easier access to DHL’s core services.
Further enhancements set to follow, include: –
Booking courier pickups
Tariff and transit time inquiries
Flagging of special promotions
Service alerts or service bulletins
DHL Toolbar currently allows customers to enter an Air Waybill number and access latest shipments status and tracking history, giving customers the quickest possible updates on the progress of their package. The Toolbar can easily be switched on and off within Internet Explorer depending on users’ anticipated level of daily use. A click-through link to the DHL website is also available.
DHL Toolbar is available for free download from the DHL corporate website at www.dhl.com or by using the direct link: http://toolbar.dhl.com
Etienne DeLongvilliers, DHL’s Global e-Commerce Director, said “DHL Toolbar is a further illustration of our determination to improve ease of access to shipment information for our customers. It gives our customers even faster access to tracking information. We are the first company in the world to employ this technology as a customer service on a global scale and it demonstrates our on-going commitment to developing innovative customer-friendly solutions.”
Tracking via DHL Toolbar will complement DHL’s established range of tracking options globally available: –
Web-based tracking through http://www.dhl.com
DHL SpeedTracking (interactive voice response services)
DHL eTrack (email tracking)
DHL ExpresSMS and DHL ExpressWAP (tracking via mobile devices)
