Nightspeed uses web for parcel tracking

Nightspeed Services, an express parcel distribution company based in Tipton, is offering customers a new easy-to-use web based software system.

Connector 3 and 4 are installed on to customers’ computers and are designed to speed up the despatch process by reducing addressing errors and providing a host of valuable and easy to use features to improve control of parcel shipments either via the web or electronic data interchange.

A single click on the Nightspeed web site will provide customers with the latest information on their consignment using a unique bar coding system.

Customers use their own databases to address parcels by tapping in just the postcode, which eradicates mis-spelt addresses.

The barcode is then stuck to the parcel and every movement of the parcel can then be traced. It also includes a host of information about the addressee, which helps to prevent lost parcels. Customers can also use the software to invoice and process orders.

The only carrier to be a member of the British Security Industry Association, Nightspeed prides itself on an unmatched 99.98 per cent of parcels delivered successfully. Connector 3 and 4 contribute to this high delivery success rate. Nightspeed, originally part of Group 4 Security, was set up in 1983 and has been voted UK Secure Parcel Carrier of the Year for the last two years running.

Ian Pickford, Nightspeed’s managing director said: ‘Connector 3 and 4 has increased communication between Nightspeed and its customers.
