DPD Romania expands
DPD Romania has opened a new €1.5m logistics centre. The 4,800 square metre warehouse is located in Mogosoaia, within the logistics project LOG.IQ Bucharest.
The new facility will be able to handle 70,000 parcels a day and will accommodate 160 couriers.
”This investment plays a key role in the development of DPD Romania’s business and is part of the expansion strategy of the logistical capacity nationally. The location was strategical selected, especially because of the project’s position, close to the Capital and the main ways for road transportation. The warehouse in Mogosoaia has the most modern logistical solutions nationally, being equipped with a new line of sorting and handling. This system enables rapid sorting of large volumes of parcels and increases the operational window for delivery and collection in Romania,” said Lucian Aldescu, CEO DPD Romania.
DP Romania is also expanding the capacity of its central hub in Sibiu, so it can handle 50,000 parcels a day.
