Ukrposhta looking to introduce financial services

Ukrainian postal operator Ukrposhta is reportedly looking to introduce a range of financial services. According to local media agency interfax, Ukrposhta Director General Ihor Smeliansky told reporters that the plan was to set up facilities for customers to open deposit and current accounts, have payment cards and pay their utility bills.

Smeliansky was also quoted as saying that Ukrposhta will use cards of the Prostir national payment system designed by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
