EU goals met for International Postal deadlines

The Milan-Peschiera Borromeo Center of International Exchange of the Italian post, where much of the international mail in Italy passes through received a “certificate of excellence” from the International Post Corporation. The IPC certificate is issued when an International postal exchange center stands out for its quality and efficiency of mail handling.
According to the system of measure certified by the IPC and recognized in the European Union, Italian post in 2002 surpassed the goals set for Europe regarding speed (85 pct within three days from sending) and confidence (97 pct within five days after sending) for incoming and outgoing mail. In three days, 92.3 pct of international mail was delivered to its destination, in five days 98.5 pct of outgoing mail was delivered, and the same goes for 97.5 percent of incoming mail.
