Austrian Post launching online marketplace

Austrian Post has confirmed to Post&Parcel that it will be launching its new online marketplace in April. The marketplace – called shopping.at – has so far drawn support from 65 Austrian retailers, including Salamander, Kastner & Öhler, Schäfer, E-tec and Gigasport.

Retailers will pay a fee per sale.

Austrian Post first announced its plans for the marketplace early last year and it has been running in test mode. According to sources, shoppers pay a deliver fee of €3.30 for orders below €33. Delivery is free for orders above €33.
