Securicor assists with paper trail across UK

More than 5000 tonnes of paper from Finland and Sweden is now being moved across the UK to some of the country’s leading printers by Securicor Omega Logistics under a new three year contract with M-Real, Europe’s third largest producer of paper and paperboard.

SOL is transporting paper reels and coated sheet paper for cartons and packaging from Tilbury to most of the UK’s leading printing houses – including Polestar, St.Ives and Artesan. This new contract is valued at £3 million per year and SOL will be handling up to 40 full loads per day from Tilbury, using 30 trailers and 15 designated tractor units.

Using both Sameday and Nextday delivery networks, SOL will be delivering paper to printing houses mainly in London, the Midlands and the Home Counties. As part of the service to M-Real, SOL is also offering its BlueLink track and trace system to ensure M-Real has total control over its traffic.
