CollectPlus teams up with Gett Delivery for London returns

CollectPlus has teamed with Gett Delivery to offer London’s online shoppers a new returns service, whereby Gett couriers will pick up customers’ unwanted purchases from their homes or offices and deliver them to the nearest CollectPlus store. In a statement issued yesterday (27 June), CollectPlus said: “The new service will allow people in zones 1 and 2 of Central London to use the Gett app to return any unwanted items to more than 300 high street and online retailers, including John Lewis, New Look and ASOS. Coverage will soon expand to include zone 3 as well.

“Time-poor Londoners who might not have time to leave work over their lunch-break or don’t want to walk to drop their returns off simply need to tap the Gett app and select the CollectPlus returns option to have their parcels collected within 10 minutes.”

The service will be able from 9am to 11 pm seven days a week for £1.95 a parcel. Once a courier has been ordered, customers will receive a tracking number by SMS within one hour of the parcel being collected, which will enable them to track the progress of their returns on collectplus.co.uk.

The service is currently being trialled for six months in Central London, with the view to expanding to other cities across the UK in the coming months. All parcels are tracked with £50 of insurance included for every parcel.

Matteo de Renzi, UK CEO of Gett, said: “With hundreds of Gett Delivery couriers around London, we can take the hassle out of returning items by offering a service that comes directly to you. CollectPlus offer a great service and this new partnership will allow even more people to take advantage of it thanks to a friendly scooter courier ready to pick up your items for a very low fee.”
