Tesco reportedly set to cut back on head office staff

UK supermarket Tesco – which announced its new Tesco Now one-hour delivery service earlier this week – is reportedly planning to cut up to 1,200 jobs at its head office. The head office job cuts come on top of the news that Tesco will be closing a call centre in Cardiff.

A report on the BBC website quoted a Tesco spokesperson as saying: “This new service model will simplify the way we organise ourselves, reduce duplication and cost but also, very importantly, allow us to invest in serving shoppers better.”
