Whistl opens Bolton super depot
Whistl has officially opened its new Bolton super depot located on the Logistics North development. Whistl began moving into the building in April, installing the machinery that enables it to process mail and parcels for distribution across the UK. The company expects to create 500 jobs at the site which is located by Junction 4 of the M61.
The Bolton site is a consolidation of previous operations from Leeds and Warrington onto one site that has 33% greater capacity for future expansion of its existing mail, packet and parcel and ecommerce business.
The building has 4 level access doors, 20 dock levellers, 50 trailer parking spaces, 31 loading positions and 222 car parking spaces.
