GLS extends FlexDeliveryService

GLS extends FlexDeliveryService

GLS has announced that online retailers based in Ireland can now use the FlexDeliveryService to offer their international customers more convenient delivery options. The GLS service – which is now available in 14 countries – allows shoppers to choose from a range of delivery options, such as delivery on a desired day or at a GLS ParcelShop. Depending on the services available in each region, GLS also delivers in the evening, deposits the shipment at an agreed secure location or leaves it for collection at a GLS parcel locker terminal.

GLS informs recipients in advance when their parcel is due to be delivered – and if there won’t be anyone at home, the parcel can be diverted even once it is on its way.

“Its international network is one of the particular strengths of GLS,” says Andreas Rickert, Managing Director of GLS Ireland. “Thanks to the close integration of Ireland, we can provide high-quality support for cross-border e-commerce – including with our recently introduced ShopReturnService.”
