Last minute Christmas shopping

Last minute Christmas shopping

More Australians are leaving Christmas shopping to the last minute, according to a new survey conducted by Australia Post.

According to Australia Post: “Men are among the last to join the festive spirit with 12% of men planning to knock off their lists after December 18, compared to just 1% of women.

“With the biggest ever parcel delivery day in Australia’s history recorded on Monday, even the most organised shoppers are expecting a rush to the finish with 37% saying they will purchase the final gifts just days before Christmas.”

Australia Post’s Rebecca Burrows, General Manager, Small Business, said that there are still time for customers to send their gifts using the Express Post service. The deadline for delivery via this service will before 1pm tomorrow (Thursday, 21 December).
