Relaxation of UK competitors’ licences

Postwatch welcomes the regulators decision to relax its licences to allow the
companies concerned to provide additional services to strike hit customers.
However Postwatch believes this will only provide limited assistance to a few
customers.

Therefore Postwatch regard this as an initial step to be quickly followed by a
recommendation to the Secretary of State that she use her statutory powers
to suspend the licensing regime. Such a suspension would allow any
companies to offer collection and delivery services to customers.
