London's courier companies trial QuikTrak Networks technology
QuikTrak Networks plc, the secure tracking and data messaging network operator, has announced that four further leading London courier companies have started to trial the QuikTrak technology. This follows some highly successful trials by Addison Lee, one of London’s largest taxi and courier companies.
Pegasus Couriers, Anderson Young Couriers, Urgent Couriers and Greyhound Couriers have all started to pilot QuikTrak’s unique real-time tracking technology for use in fleet management applications.
Chris Kyriakou, Chairman and CEO of QuikTrak commented:
“We are delighted that a further four courier companies are piloting our technology. The ability to locate vehicles quickly and precisely is an essential tool for courier companies in order to retain competitive advantage and one of the key applications of our technology. Until now, there has not been a product that is suitable for motorbikes. Using the QuikTrak unit, courier fleets can now be managed and located easily, accurately and cost effectively.”
QuikTrak is a telecommunications business that specialises in secure, reliable and low-cost location, real-time tracking and mobile data communications. The Company provides solutions for locating and tracking vehicles, people and mobile assets through a terrestrial positioning network based on patented technology.
QuikTrak is able to locate objects or people that may be hidden from view, unlike GPS-GSM systems, it is almost impossible to jam and does not require ‘line-of-sight’. This difference not only makes QuikTrak more effective and more secure than existing tracking technologies but the system provides a lower cost alternative to other tracking solutions available in the market.
