Aramex expands with TwoWay-Vanguard buy
Aramex International, a transport provider specialising in the Middle East and Asian subcontinent, has acquired Irish logistics and freight service provider TwoWay-Vanguard as part of a global expansion plan.
The purchase will enhance Aramex¡¦s presence in Europe and is expected to boost annual revenue this year to US$350m („¡283m).
TwoWay-Vanguard has a network of 15 offices across Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands. Last year its revenue topped $85m („¡69m).
It offers global air and ocean freight services, express road freight between UK and Ireland and value-added logistics.
TwoWay founder Tommy Kelly will stay on as CEO with an unchanged management team. He said the new set-up would add technological capability and access to a global network. Aramex offers transport solutions ranging from express delivery, freight forwarding , logistics and warehousing to publication distribution and specialist shopping services.
