Austrian Post: our customers can decide for themselves when the post office is open
Austrian Post has opened a new self-service branch at Gentzgasse 65 in Vienna’s 18th district. This will give more than 5,300 households in the neighbourhood the opportunity to pick up or send their parcels around the clock. The new self-service branch has now been officially opened by Silvia Nossek, District Manager of Währing, and Walter Oblin, CEO of Österreichische Post AG.
Silvia Nossek, District Chairwoman, Währing: “Our district has a great local supply – and in addition to the wide range of shops and restaurants, pharmacies and bank branches, this also includes the contact points of the post office. I am pleased about the opening of the new location and that Austrian Post is further expanding its network in Währing!”
Walter Oblin, CEO of Österreichische Post AG: “With the new self-service branch in Währing, we are bringing Austrian Post to where everyday life takes place – 24/7, without waiting times and with short distances in the neighbourhood. More than 5,300 households benefit from more than 500 pick-up lockers and a dispatch station for parcels and letters. This is modern infrastructure: digitally controlled and available on site, so that our customers can decide for themselves when the post office is open for them.”
