Austrian Post expands its reach in Europe

Austrian Post subsidiary euShipments.com,  is acquiring 100 % of the Slovakian fulfillment provider FHB Group as of today. In this way, euShipments.com and Österreichische Post AG as a group of companies are strengthening their expertise in the field of automation and technology-based fulfilment solutions and are also further increasing their fulfilment capacities.

FHB Group will be fully integrated into euShipments.com’s network, and the Slovakian company’s management team will remain on board after the takeover. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Through its subsidiary euShipments Slovakia, euShipments.com is already established in Slovakia and is now further expanding its position as a logistics partner for online retailers in the region. The acquisition will enable euShipments.com and FHB Group’s customers to benefit from expanded fulfillment and logistics capabilities covering all EU markets, while leveraging the combined know-how, operational expertise, and technological capabilities of euShipments.com and FHB Group.

Peter Umundum, Deputy Director General, Member of the Management Board for Parcel & Logistics, Österreichische Post AG: “With the acquisition of the FHB Group, we are consistently expanding our position as one of Europe’s leading e-commerce and fulfillment providers. Together with the two new locations near Bratislava, euShipments.com will in future comprise twelve of its own fulfillment centers and a network in 27 countries. In this way, we are creating the conditions to support online retailers even more comprehensively in their international expansion and at the same time strengthening the role of Österreichische Post AG as a fast-growing European logistics and e-commerce group.”
