Irish firm CityPOST acquires DEPS

Ireland-based postal firm CityPOST has made its second acquisition in as many months after reaching a deal to buy Document Express Postal Service (DEPS). Established in 1999, DEPS has been servicing the business community in Cork for the last 11 years, providing document express and postal delivery services throughout the Munster region.

CityPOST said the acquisition will enhance its existing national network structure.

Ian Glass, managing director, CityPOST Group, said: “DEPS has an established reputation as a preferred supplier for quality and value, which is in keeping with our own service model. Cork and Limerick in particular are key target areas for us in terms of both investment of infrastructure and employment.  This agreement will significantly enhance our network and delivery capability in Munster at a time of strategic growth for the company.”

Established in 1987, CityPOST the only company to offer a last mile delivery solution other than national operator An Post. It currently delivers to in excess of 950,000 points every week.
